The foundation for this project is the PHP web service that was created specifically for Internet of Things networks. Essentially, the service consists of an interface for HTTP capable clients to send and receive commands to other clients on the network. Clients register themselves with an alias and their current IP address to provide a means for other devices to target messages. The service also contains a live video feed server, allowing clients to access the surveillance camera video feeds from anywhere.
